SMOKIN’ ACES (3 0 0 20  8   6)

The Aces started their day with a convincing 9-3 victory over the Blues, led by Vince MacDonald’s 6 goals.  Tyson Taylor, Christian Haines, and Chris Benoit also scored for the Aces.  They kept rolling along into their next game with a 7-3 win over the Collective.  Tim O’Leary led the way for the Smokin’ Aces with a hat-trick, while Vince, Tyson, Christian, and Chris each added singles.  They finished their day with a tighter 4-2 win over the Vipers.  Stephen Rafuse scored a pair of goals for the Aces, while Vince and Tim added the others.  Vince led his team this week with 8 goals, while Tim had the most points with 14.

GRAY (2 1 0  20 11   4)

The Gray got off to a good start this week with a 9-2 win over the Warriors, led by Ian Lapointe’s 4 goals.  Also, Collin Sleep and James Campbell each added a pair of goals for the Gray, while Derek Brown added a single.  The rematch against the Warriors was very similar as the Gray won 8-3.  Collin  scored 5 goals for the Gray, while Ian added a pair and Derek, a single.  They lost 3-6 against FUBAR in their last game of the day.  Collin scored a pair of goals for the Gray, while Derek added a single.  Collin led his team this week with 9 goals and 15 points.  He already has 30 points this season and leads the league so far.

SHOOTERS (2 1 0  22 16   4)

You could say the Shooters started off on the wrong foot this week, considering the foot injury to their goalie, John Hamilton who may be out for a month.  Chris Day filled in for John this week.  They lost their first game to the Unicorns by a 5-7 score.  Jeremy Snow scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Doug Taylor, Yvon Mayer, and a borrowed player each added singles.  They rebounded in their next game with a convincing 7-2 win over the Barrage.  Jeremy, Doug, and a spare player each scored a pair of goals, while another spare player added a single.  They finished their day with a 10-7 win over the Unicorns in the rematch.  Doug, Jeremy, and a spare player led the way for the Shooters, each scoring hat-tricks, while the other spare player added a single.  Jeremy led his team this week with 7 goals, while Doug had the most points with 16.

VIPERS (2 1 0  13 11   4)

The Vipers’ first game turned out to be a goalie’s battle, won by Tony Bonnar with a 2-1 score over the Blues.  Darryl Moorcroft, who played nets last week, scored both goals for the Vipers.  They lost their next game 2-4 to the Smokin’ Aces.  Jim Taylor scored both Vipers goals.  They won their final game of the day with a 9-6 win over the Collective.  Travis Haines led the way for the Vipers with 5 goals, while Wyatt Ashworth, Bryan Letcher, Jim, and Darryl each added singles.  Travis led his team this week with 5 goals, while Jim had the most points with 7.

BARRAGE (2 1 0  13 16   4)

The Barrage won a close 6-5 game against the Unicorns to get their day started.  Carl Brown led the way for the Barrage with a hat-trick, while Jamie Carson, Rakesh Rajput, and a spare player each added singles.  They lost their next game 2-7 to the Shooters.  Jamie and a spare player scored the Barrage goals.  Carl Brown scored a late goal to complete the hat-trick and help the Barrage finish their day with a 5-4 win over FUBAR.  Jamie scored the other two Barrage goals.  Carl led his team this week with 6 goals and 11 points.

FUBAR (1 1 1  15 13   3)

FUBAR got off to a good start this week with a 6-3 win over the Gray.  Ian Stevens and Mike Hossack each scored a pair of goals, while Shawn Kane and Jeff King added singles.  They lost a heartbreaker to the Barrage in their next game on a controversial goal in the final minute of play for the 4-5 final.  Ian scored a pair of goals for FUBAR, while Peter Wolters and Mark Whitlock each added singles.  They finished their week off with a 5-5 tie against the Warriors.  Ian and Peter each scored a pair of goals for FUBAR, while Shawn added a single.  Ian led his team this week with 6 goals, while Mike had the most points with 8.  Goalie, Scott Shepard played 28 games without a loss, dating back to almost two years ago.  He went 24-0-4 during that time.

UNICORNS (1 2 0  19 21   2)

The Unicorns won their first game this week by a 7-5 score over the Shooters.  Brent McKenna led the way for the Unicorns with a hat-trick, while Greg Geurts and Bruno Dugas each added a pair of goals.  They then lost a tight 5-6 game to the Barrage, despite Greg’s hat-trick in the game.  Brent and Bruno were the other Unicorns scorers.  They finished their day with a disappointing loss to the Shooters in the rematch by a 7-10 score.  Craig Maranda and Brent each scored a pair of goals for the Unicorns, while Phil Cronkite, Bruno, and Greg added singles.  Greg and Brent led their team this week, each with 6 goals, while Greg had the most points with 11.

BLUES (1 2 0  10 13   2)

The Blues had a rough start this week, losing their first game 3-9 to the Smokin’ Aces.  Mike Moore scored a pair of goals for the Blues, while Jamie Williams added the other.  They came up a bit short in their next game, a goalie’s battle that ended 1-2 in the Vipers favor.  Mike scored the only Blues goal to spoil the shutout bid.  They rebounded in their final game of the day with a 6-2 win over the Collective.  Jamie led the way for the Blues with 4 goals, while Mike also added a pair.  Mike and Jamie led their team this week, each with 5 goals, while Mike had the most points with 9.

WARRIORS (0 2 1  10 22   1)

The Warriors started the day with a 2-9 loss to the Gray in their first game.  Ray Chase and Jon Loubert scored the Warriors goals.  They got things going better in their next game, fighting to a 5-5 tie against FUBAR.  Ray scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Troy Doyle, Denis Loubert, and Travis Muxworthy added singles.  They lost their last game of the day 3-8 in the rematch against the Gray.  Jon scored a hat-trick for the Warriors.  Jon led his team this week with 4 goals, while Ray had the most points with 8.

COLLECTIVE (0 3 0  11 22   0)

The Collective had a rough start this week, losing their first game 3-7 to the Smokin’ Aces.  Rick Bartlett scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while Rod MacIsaac added the other.  They continued their struggles through the next game, a 2-6 loss to the Blues.  Mike Clarke and Rod scored the Collective goals.  They finished their day with a 6-9 loss to the Vipers.  Rod had 4 goals in the game for the Collective, while Rick Haines and Mike Clarke added singles.  Rod led his team this week with 6 goals, while Mike Clarke had the most points with 10.  There were three Mikes who led their team’s scoring this week.
