Circumstances beyond our control are forcing us to change locations. We will now be playing all our games at the Alexander Gibson School. Gametimes and schedule will remain the same, only a location change. This school is located on the northside in Marysville, between the Tim Horton’s and Pharmasave. The gym is about 80 x 60, about the same size as Priestman, a little wider but a little shorter. This school is officially closed, which has advantages for us (playing on Sunday normally closed due to school closures, safe stage for viewing area, ability to store nets, nearby stores, & no worries about marks on the floor.)
We continue talks with the schoolboard and city about a more ideal location, but for now, this is our location. Before agreeing to this location, we had a small group (mostly captains/exec) come out and try the facility in a few pick-up games. While it is not perfect, it is workable. We had no other options other than considering a move back to Harvey, which is widely considered as last resort.
