This year’s draft will be the first ever “Open Draft” where all registered players can attend and watch the process unfold live!
The FBHL Draft Information is as follows;
When: Saturday, Sept. 13th 1:00pm

As we have the last few years, we try to find ways to ensure even/fair teams. This year will introduce a first ever “Goalie Round”, where each team will select a goalie (in the past goalies were selected whenever). Round 1 will be the goalie round which will be the first selection for each team in the draft. This order is determined by selecting a number randomly from a hat.
All subsequent rounds will be done in reverse order to the goalie order (ie. if you got first overall in goalie, you get 8th in player). Each round loops back so the Captain who drafts 8th will immediately draft again getting the 9th pick.
Trades of selection order could happen, they have in the past. Players trades are also likely to happen after the draft, but they must be approved by the trade committee.

Play will begin the following day, Sunday Sept 14th at the UNB South Gym (beside Aitken Center).
