Mike Moore’s 11 Points Leads Week Seven’s Offense
Flying Elbows 5 Shooters 1 – The Shooters took the lead one minute into the game but it was all Flying Elbows afterwards as they took control. Troy Doyle and Tim O’Leary each scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Vince MacDonald added a single. Tim’s first goal proved to be the winner. Joel Thorne scored the only Shooters goal to spoil Brandon Leet-MacFarlane’s shutout bid.
Sasquatches 7 Shooters 1 – The Sasquatches built a good lead and cruised to the victory. Marc Guitard led the way for the Sasquatches with a hat-trick, while Bobby Woods and Sean Keenan each added a pair of goals. Sean’s first goal proved to be the winner. Harold Plant scored the only Shooters goal to spoil Rick Kent’s shutout bid.
Flying Elbows 2 Barrage 0 – Justin McKillop scored, what turned out to be the winning goal a little over two minutes into the game, while Brandon Leet-MacFarlane shut the door to earn his 3rd shutout of the season. Tim O’Leary scored the other Flying Elbows goal.
Barrage 4 Shooters 4 – After a four player trade that included the first to involve goalies, nothing was solved as both teams played to a tie. The Shooters built a 4-2 lead with less than 5 minutes left but the Barrage battled back for the tie. Joel Thorne led the way for the Shooters with a hat-trick, while Yvon Mayer added a single. Craig Maranda had a pair of goals for the Barrage, while Trevor Graham scored his first goal of the season and Collin Sleep added the tying goal with a little over two minutes left in the game.
Flying Elbows 2 Sasquatches 2 – The top two teams battled to a tight 2-2 tie. Sasquatches took the lead twice but the Flying Elbows answered each time. Justin McKillop scored both goals for the Flying Elbows, while Sean Keenan and Marc Guitard scored the Sasquatches goals.
Sasquatches 9 Barrage 2 – The Sasquatches took over the game in the 2nd half and cruised to a win. Sean Keenan led the way for the Sasquatches with four goals, while Bobby Woods and Marc Guitard each scored a pair of goals, and Darren Wilkins added a single. Jamie Carson and Collin Sleep scored the Barrage goals.
Big D 3 Baton Rouge 2 – Big D built a 3-0 lead and despite a couple of late goals from Baton Rouge, held on for the win. Ian Lapointe scrored a pair of goals for Big D, while Andrew Trecartin added a single. Ian’s 2nd goal proved to be the winner. Brent McKenna and Ray Chase scored the Baton Rouge goals.
Collective 8 Baton Rouge 1 – The Collective got off to a good start and cruised to an 8-1 win. Mike Moore and Rick Bartlett each scored hat-tricks for the Collective, while Carl Brown added a pair of goals. Rick’s first goal proved to be the winner. Brent McKenna scored the only Baton Rouge goal to spoil Mark Farrell’s shutout bid.
Big D 2 Warriors 2 – The teams battled to a low scoring tie after both having leads during the game. Spare Carl Brown scored both Big D goals, while the Warriors goals came from Phil Cronkite and Jon Loubert. Jon scored the tying goal with less than three minutes left.
Warriors 5 Baton Rouge 1 – The Warriors scored the first three goals and held on to win 5-1. Jon Loubert led the way for the Warriors with a hat-trick, while James Campbell and Denis Loubert added singles. Jon’s first goal proved to be the winner. Brent McKenna scored the only goal for Baton Rouge to spoil Tony Bonnar’s shutout bid.
Big D 5 Collective 2 – Big D built a 3-0 lead, then sealed the 5-2 win with an empty net goal. Ian Lapointe led the way for Big D with a hat-trick, while Jeremy Snow added a pair of goals. Ian’s 2nd goal proved to be the winner. Mike Connor and Mike Moore scored the Collective goals.
Collective 5 Warriors 3 – The Collective got off to a good start and held on for a 5-3 win. Mike Moore led the way for the Collective with a hat-trick, while Jim Taylor and Carl Brown added singles. Mike’s 3rd goal proved to be the winner. Denis Loubert, James Campbell, and Jon Loubert scored the Warriors goals.
