Some new and exciting changes occurred over the weekend within the FBHL leadership team. Announced at the year end banquet was that Phil Cronkhite (Treasurer) and James Campbell (President) have stepped down after severing in those roles for the last few years. Both Phil and James will continue to play in the league and will assist in transitioning their replacements into their new roles over the summer. The league’s new president is Jamie Carson. The league is fortunate to find such a qualified person in Mr. Carson, who has played and Captained in the league for a number of years. Jamie is one of the most respected players in the league and his appointment was met with great approval from the members. The league’s new treasurer is Jon Loubert, also a long time player and former Captain in the FBHL. John has experience in key leadership roles as he runs the Capital City Ball Hockey league in the summer.
Also joining the leadership committee will be Tony Bonnar, in the new position of Deputy of Player Safety. Tony’s role will be to create and lead a sub committee for player safety (including any disciplinary actions that may be required).
The rest of the FBHL Executive Committee remains the same.
