Playoff Results: Round 1

The opening round of the playoffs lived up to its forecasted tight game billing, with 6 of the 10 games decided by 3 or fewer goals, and no one giving up on anything through the entire 20 minutes of each game.  Kudos to ALL teams for games well played, and fiercely contested.  On any other day these results could have well been reversed.

Kudos to Brian Kelly in his Freddy debut as a goaltender:  Unbeaten and posting a miserly 2.00 GAA to lead Retribution to the second round.  Not to be outdone veteran Masked Marauder Brandon Leet-MacFarlane and Rookie Rabblerouser Chris Day matched Kelly’s 2.00 GAA to lead their teams to series victories as well, while Frederic-Mailhot Landry hung on in overtime to capture a series win for the Red Light District.

Marc Guitard erupted for 8 (EIGHT!) goals and two assists to lead all first round scoring, though hotly pursued by Jamie Williams, Troy Doyle, and Michael Moore with 8 points apiece.  Dwayne Johnson continued his torrid resurgence, leading all defensemen by notching 6 points.
