Preparations continue for the upcoming FBHL season. The registration is going well and we are putting the call out for interested players to submit their requests to be made a Captain for this year.
FBHL Captains play many important roles in the success of the league. We expect a lot from our captains.
Some of the requirements include:
– Have played a minimum of 2 years in the league
– Captains are expected to make at least 80% of the games (if you know you can’t, please do not apply)
– Communicate frequently with their team’s players (collect fees, ensure rides, address issues, etc)
– Communicate and participate in league operational activities, including attending required meetings
– Obey and Enforce the rules, at all times, playing or watching, and for all players.
– Be comfortable knowing how to draft a competitive team (meaning know the players)
– Be respectful at all times, your a league ambassador.
– Not be a goaltender
– Not be a member of the FBHL executive

With Tyler moving out west and my inclusion on the league executive, we are sure to have at least two different captains from last year. With the registration numbers looking good, it is almost certain we will have more than six teams which means we are looking for a few good men to step forward.
Please have your submissions in by August 10th. The committee will meet shortly after and decide who the captains will be.
