FUBAR Tie Undefeated Streak, Fog Devils Go 3-0, Blues Go Undefeated This Week
Vipers 2 Collective 2 – The Vipers took a 2-0 lead but the Collective were able to fight back to tie it with two goals from borrowed Brent McKenna. Wyatt Ashworth and Darryl Moorcroft scored the Vipers goals.
Vipers 6 Unicorns 6 – The Vipers battled to another tie, this time against the Unicorns. Greg Geurts led the way for the Unicorns with four goals, while Brent McKenna added a pair. Phil Cronkite had five assists in the game. Wyatt Ashworth scored a pair of goals for the Vipers, while Jim Taylor, Darryl Moorcroft, Brian Letcher, and borrowed Martin McKinnon added singles.
Collective 7 Unicorns 4 – The Collective played with only four runners, but made the best of the two they borrowed as Doug Taylor and James Campbell each scored hat-tricks for the Collective, while Mike Luff added a single goal. Greg Geurts scored a hat-trick for the Unicorns, while Steve Atherton added a single goal.
Vipers 4 Collective 3 – The Vipers hung onto the lead in their rematch against the Collective going undefeated for the first time since week 6. Wyatt scored a pair of goals for the Vipers, while Jim Taylor and Darryl Moorcroft added singles. Rick Bartlett scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while borrowed James Morrison added a single. After only winning 3 games in their first 28, the Collective are 2-2-1 in their last 5 games. Goalie Harold Plante has only allowed 14 goals in his last 5 games.
Fog Devils 9 Shooters 3 – Collin Sleep, Derek Brown, Ian Lapointe, and Davie Mossman each scored a pair of goals for the Fog Devils, while James Campbell added a single in the easy win over the Shooters. Doug Taylor, Jeremy Snow, and borrowed Martin McKinnon scored the Shooters’ goals.
Warriors 7 Unicorns 2 – The Warriors cruised to an easy win, getting a pair of goals each from Jon Loubert, Troy Doyle, and Denis Loubert, while Travis Muxworthy added a single. Greg Geurts and Brent McKenna scored the Unicorns’ goals.
Fog Devils 9 Warriors 2 – The Fog Devils reel off another easy win led by Ian Lapointe’s four goals, while Derek Brown added a pair of goals, and Collin Sleep, James Campbell, and Davie Mossman scored singles. Troy Doyle and Denis Loubert scored the Warriors’ goals.
Fog Devils 7 Shooters 1 – The Fog Devils cruised to their 3rd win on the day, out-scoring opponents 25-6. Derek Brown scored a hat-trick to lead the way in the final Fog Devils game of the week, while Ian Lapointe added a pair of goals, and Collin Sleep along with Davie Mossman added singles. Jeremy Snow scored the only Shooters goal to spoil Mike Sutton’s shutout bid.
Warriors 4 Shooters 3 – The Warriors hung on for the victory over the Shooters, getting a pair of goals from Denis Loubert, while Troy Doyle and Travis Muxworthy added singles. Yvon Mayer scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Doug Taylor added a single.
FUBAR 6 Smokin’ Aces 1 – FUBAR were led by Shawn Kane’s hat-trick, while Mike Hossack added a pair of goals, and Ian Stevens scored a single. Larry Condly scored the only Smokin’ Aces goal to spoil Scott Shepard’s shutout bid.
Smokin’ Aces 3 Barrage 1 – Tim O’Leary scored a pair of goals for the Aces, while Tyson Taylor added the single. Jamie Carson scored the only Barrage goal to spoil Paul Richard’s shutout bid.
FUBAR 4 Blues 4 – After FUBAR built a 4-3 lead on goals from Ian Stevens, Mike Hossack, Shawn Kane, and James Morrison, the Blues got a late goal from Mike Conway to tie the game. Andrew Trecartin scored a pair of goals for the Blues, while Justin McKillop added the other.
Blues 3 Smokin’ Aces 2 – The Blues outlasted the Aces in this close game, getting two goals from Mike Moore and a single from Anthony Crawford. Tim O’Leary scored both Aces goals.
FUBAR 5 Barrage 0 – FUBAR tied the undefeated streak record at 17 games with the 5-0 shutout win. Scott Shepard led the way with his fourth shutout of the season, while Shawn Kane and Jeff King each scored a pair of goals, and Mike Hossack added a single. FUBAR can set a new record next week with a win over the Shooters in their first game.
Blues 6 Barrage 2 – The Blues got a pair of goals each from Mike Moore, Andrew Trecartin, and Justin McKillop to finish the day 2-0-1. Jamie Carson and Carl Brown scored the Barrage goals.
