The Shooters are the FBHL 2014 Champions! The Shooters defeated the Fog in two straight games, winning handily in the first game 10-1. Rob Matchett had a breakout game and scored 8 goals, with Mathieu Vaillancourt and Jeremy Snow rounding out the scoring. James Campbell scored the lone goal for the Shooters. A most Sittler-esque game for Rob who put on a show that will go down in FBHL history. Rob’s one 2nd assist gave him a 9 point game,
The second game was much closer, and a most worthy back and forth affair. Bobby Woods of the Shooters scored the go ahead game and series clinching 5th goal with around three minutes remaining. The final Shooters goal was scored into an empty net. Rob, Joel and Bobby each had two goals, while Ian Lapointe scored all four for the Fog.
This concludes the season with the remaining event being the Banquet on Saturday June 7th at Dolan’s. Please come out and celebrate the season and see the yearly awards. Get their early to get a good seat.
