Warriors Move Into 6th With 3-0 Week

Big D 2  Shooters 1  –  This goaltending battle between Jeff Smith and Paul Richard ended in favor of Big D as they took a 2-0 lead with less than five minutes left in the game and hung on for the 2-1 win.  The first goal didn’t come until Bruno Dugas scored for Big D with 10 minutes left, then Andrew Trecartin scored, what turned out to be the winning goal.  Joel Thorne scored the only Shooters goal to spoil Jeff’s shutout bid.

Barrage 3  Shooters 1  –  The Barrage got their first win of the season in a low scoring game.  Craig Maranda scored a pair of goals for the Barrage, including the winner, while Wayne Helpard added an insurance goal. Joel Thorne scored the only Shooters goal to spoil Borrowed goalie, Brandon Leet-MacFarlane’s shutout bid.

Warriors 3  Big D 2  –  The Warriors scored three straight goals for the comeback win, after getting down 0-2 earlier in the game.  James Campbell scored the first two goals for the Warriors to tie the game, then Mike Clarke scored the game winner.  Andrew Trecartin and Bruno Dugas scored the Big D goals.

Warriors 3  Shooters 2  –  The Warriors win another close game after getting behind.  After Joel Thorne scored to give the Shooters the lead, Denis Loubert tied the game.  Chris Benoit put the Shooters ahead again, but Jon Loubert tied the game at 2-2, then James Campbell put the Warriors ahead with the winning goal.

Big D 5  Barrage 2  –  After giving up the first goal, Big D went ahead 3-1 and hung on for the win.  Bruno Dugas scored a pair of goals for Big D, while Ian Lapointe, Andrew Trecartin, and spare Martin MacKinnon added singles.  Andrew’s goal was his 2nd game winner of the day and 3rd of the season.  Wayne Helpard and Wyatt Ashworth scored the Barrage goals.

Warriors 4  Barrage 2  –  The Barrage made it close but the Warriors added the insurance for a 4-2 win.  James Campbell scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Jon Loubert and Mike Clarke added singles.  Mike’s goal was his 2nd game winner of the day.  Jamie Carson and Craig Maranda scored the Barrage goals.

Flying Elbows 6  Sasquatches 2  –  The Flying Elbows scored the first four goals on their way to the 6-2 win.  Tim O’Leary led his team with a hat-trick for the Flying Elbows, while Jamie Williams, Travis Muxworthy, and Vince MacDonald added singles.  Jamie’s goal was his 3rd game winner of the season.  Bobby Woods scored both Sasquatches goals.

Sasquatches 3  Collective 2  –  The Sasquatches rebounded with a close win over the Collective.  Darren Wilkins, spare Paul Richard, and Bobby Woods scored the Sasquatches goals.  Bobby’s goal was his 3rd game winner of the season.  Mike Moore scored both Collective goals.

Flying Elbows 4  Baton Rouge 1  –  The Flying Elbows broke a 1-1 tie with three unanswered goals for the win.  Justin McKillop scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Troy Doyle and Brian Kelly added singles.  Troy’s go ahead goal held as the game winner.  Brent McKenna scored the only Baton Rouge goal to spoil Brandon Leet-MacFarlane’s shoutout bid.

Sasquatches 3  Baton Rouge 3  –  The Sasquatches got off to a quick start, building a 3-0 lead, but had to settle for a tie after Baton Rouge scored the last three goals.  Sean Keenan scored a pair of goals for the Sasquatches, while Bobby Woods added a single.  Mathieu Vaillancourt, Ray Chase, and Matt Vautour scored the Baton Rouge goals.

Flying Elbows 6  Collective 4  –  The Flying Elbows built a 5-1 lead and held on for the 6-4 win.  Troy Doyle and Vince MacDonald each scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Brian Kelly and Justin McKillop added singles.  Vince’s 2nd goal turned out to be the game winner.  Mike Moore scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while Rick Bartlett and Carl Brown added singles.

Baton Rouge 8  Collective 2  –  Baton Rouge scored the first five goals and cruised to an 8-2 win.  Sly Villeneuve led the scoring for Baton Rouge with a hat-trick, while Brent McKenna scored a pair of goals, and Mathieu Vaillancourt, Steve Atherton, and Matt Vautour added singles.  Mathieu’s goal turned out to be the game winner.  Rick Bartlett scored both Collective goals.
