Sasquatches Tie For First With 3-0 Week

Brandon Leet-MacFarlane And The Flying Elbows Setting Records

Flying Elbows 6  Collective 0  –  The Flying Elbows cruised to a victory after building a 3-0 lead in the first half.  Brandon Leet-MacFarlane led the way with the shutout.  Justin McKillop and Troy Doyle each scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Brian Kelly and Tim O’Leary added singles.  Justin’s first goal proved to be the game winner.

Flying Elbows 7  Warriors 0  –  The Flying Elbows kept things rolling with a similar game.  Brandon Leet-MacFarlane again led the way for the Flying Elbows with his 2nd consecutive shutout.  Brandon becomes only the 3rd goalie to earn back to back shutouts in the league.  The others were Darryl Moorcroft and Don Theriault.  It was also Brandon’s 5th shutout of the season, tying him with Richard Morneau, Don Theriault, and Scott Shepard for the most shutouts during a season.  The team set a new record for the longest undefeated streak at 20 games.  Ironically, Brandon was the goalie who stopped FUBAR’s record setting streak at 19 games last season.  Jamie Williams and Tim O’Leary each scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Justin McKillop, Brian Kelly, and Travis Muxworthy added singles.  Jamie’s first goal proved to be the winner.

Sasquatches 7  Collective 3  –  The Sasquatches took over the game midway through with three goals within a couple of minutes, then cruising to the win.  Darren Wilkins led the way for the Sasquatches with a natural hat-trick, while Bobby Woods scored a pair of goals, and Scott Praught and Marc Guitard added singles.  Marc’s goal proved to be the winner.  Jim Taylor, Mike Connor, and Carl Brown scored the Collective goals.

Sasquatches 3  Flying Elbows 1  –  The Sasquatches were able to get their first win against the Flying Elbows since the season’s first week.  The win deadlocks the two teams at the top of the standings.  Bobby Woods led the way for the Sasquatches with all three of their goals, while Brian Kelly scored the only Flying Elbows goal to spoil spare Chris Day’s shutout bid.  Bobby was the only player to score on Brandon Leet MacFarlane this week, who has now allowed only 12 goals in his last 12 games.

Warriors 4  Collective 2  –  The Warriors got a couple of quick goals with six and a half minutes left then hung on for the win.  Jon Loubert scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Larry Condly and Denis Loubert added singles.  Larry’s goal proved to be the winner.  Carl Brown scored both Collective goals.

Sasquatches 6  Warriors 3  –  The Sasquatches built a 4-1 lead midway through the game and held on for the win.  Bobby Woods led the way for the Sasquatches with four goals, while Marc Guitard and Bryan Letcher added singles.  Marc’s goal proved to be the winner.  Larry Condly, Jon Loubert, and Mike Clarke scored the Warriors goals.

Barrage 8  Shooters 4  –  The Barrage took over during the second half of the game with four straight goals to break a 2-2 tie.  Craig Maranda and Wyatt Ashworth each scored a pair of goals for the Barrage, while Wayne Helpard, Scott McLean, Jamie Carson, and Collin Sleep added singles.  Jamie’s goal proved to be the winner.  Joel Thorne scored a hat-trick for the Shooters, while Harold Plant added a single.

Baton Rouge 4  Barrage 2  –  Baton Rouge built a 3-0 lead in the first half and held on for a 4-2 win.  Spare Greg Geurts led the way for Baton Rouge with a hat-trick, including the game winner, while Steve Atherton added a single.  Craig Maranda and Jamie Carson scored the Barrage goals.

Big D 4  Shooters 4  –  After Big D built a 4-2 lead, the Shooters battled back to salvage a tie.  Bruno Dugas and Ian Lapointe each scored a pair of goals for Big D.  Joel Thorne scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Stephen Rafuse and Darryl Moorcroft added singles.

Big D 2  Barrage 2  –  The Barrage held a 2-0 lead with a little over three minutes left but had to settle for the tie.  Collin Sleep and Craig Maranda opened the scoriing for the Barrage.  Tyson Taylor and Jeremy Snow scored the Big D goals.  Jeremy’s tying goal came with only 40 seconds left.

Baton Rouge 8  Shooters 6  –  A wild back and forth game ended in Baton Rouge’s favour.  Brent McKenna led the way for Baton Rouge with five goals, while Steve Atherton, spare Scott McLean, and spare Greg Geurts added singles.  Harold Plant and spare Andrew each scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Joel Thorne and Darryl Moorcroft added singles.

Baton Rouge 6  Big D 5  –  After a 4-4 tie through the first half of the game, Baton Rouge emerged with the close win.  Brent McKenna led the way for Baton Rouge with a hat-trick, while Steve Atherton, Matt Vautour, and spare Greg Geurts added singles.  Greg’s goal proved to be the game winner. Jeremy Snow led the way for Big D with a hat-trick, while Bruno Dugas and Ian Lapointe added singles.
