Highlights:

Flying Elbows and Sasquatches Go 3-0 This Week

Three Different Goalies Earn Shutouts

Troy Doyle’s 12 Points Topped Week 11

Shooters 5  Barrage 3  –  The Shooters got off to a good start this week with a win over the Barrage.  The two teams were tied until two and a half minutes left when Chris Benoit scored, what proved to be the game winner.  Joel Thorne added a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Harold Plant and Darryl Moorcroft scored singles.  Craig Maranda scored a pair of goals for the Barrage, while Wayne Helpard added a single.

Flying Elbows 9  Barrage 3  –  Despite the Barrage scoring first, the Flying Elbows answered quickly, scoring only 12 seconds later.  From there the Flying Elbows took over and went on to a convincing victory.  Troy Doyle and Tim O’Leary led the way for the Flying Elbows each scoring hat-tricks, while Jamie Williams added a pair of goals, and Travis Muxworthy scored a single.  Troy’s first goal held up as the winner.  Craig Maranda, Scott McLean, and Wyatt Ashworth scored the Barrage goals.

Warriors 3  Shooters 0  –  This game was a scoreless tie right up until 2:50 left in the game when Jon Loubert scored the game’s first goal, which turned out to be the winner, as Tony Bonnar shut the door and earned his 2nd shutout of the season.  Mike Clarke added some insurance for the Warriors with a couple of late goals.

Warriors 4  Barrage 1  –  The Warriors built a 3-0 lead early in the game and hung on for the 4-1 win.  Jon Loubert scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Mike Clarke and Mike Luff added singles.  Mike Clarke’s goal proved to be the winner.  Craig Maranda scored the only Barrage goal to break Tony Bonnar’s shutout bid with 2:32 left in the game.

Flying Elbows 5  Shooters 0  –  The Flying Elbows jumped into the lead and never looked back on their way to a 5-0 shutout win, setting a new record for team shutouts for a season.  Brandon Leet-MacFarlane led the way for the Flying Elbows, earning his 7th shoutout of the season.  Troy Doyle and Tim O’Leary each scored a pair of goals, while Jamie Williams added a single.  Tim’s opening goal held up as the winner.

Flying Elbows 4  Warriors 1  –  The Warriors scored the first goal of the game, but the Flying Elbows then scored 4 unanswered goals for the win.  Troy Doyle scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Jamie Williams and Tim O’Leary added singles.  Jamie’s goal proved to be the winner.  Mike Clarke scored the only Warriors goal to spoil Brandon Leet-MacFarlane’s shutout bid.

Sasquatches 7  Baton Rouge 4  –  The Sasquatches built an early 3-0 lead and hung on for the win.  Marc Guitard led the way for the Sasquatches with a hat-trick, while Bobby Woods scored a pair of goals, including the game winner, and Greg Demetre and Sean Keenan added singles.  Matt Vautour scored a pair of goals for Baton Rouge, while Rene Pitre and Brent McKenna added singles.

Sasquatches 4  Collective 1  –  The Collective scored first but the Sasquatches scored the next 4 goals for the win.  Bobby Woods scored a pair of goals for the Sasquatches, including his 2nd consecutive game winner, while Sean Keenan and Marc Guitard added singles.  Carl Brown scored the only Collective goal to spoil Rick Kent’s shutout bid.

Baton Rouge 3  Big D 2  –  Big D led 2-0 halfway through the game but Baton Rouge completed the comeback in the 2nd half for the win.  Brent McKenna led the way for Baton Rouge with a natural hat-trick, finishing with the winning goal.  Tyson Taylor and spare Shawn scored the Big D goals.

Sasquatches 6  Big D 0  –  The Sasquatches finish their day 3-0 and remain tied in first place.  Rick Kent led the way for the Sasquatches, earning his 2nd shutout of the season.  Marc Guitard and Sean Keenan each scored a pair of goals, while Scott Praught and Bobby Woods added singles.  Marc’s game opening goal held up as the winner.

Collective 4  Baton Rouge 2  –  The Collective got three quick goals to take the lead later on in the game and held on for the win.  Jim Taylor and Carl Brown each scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while Brent McKenna and Ray Chase scored the goals for Baton Rouge.  Carl’s first goal proved to be the winner.

Collective 5  Big D 1  –  The Collective built a 4-0 lead and hung on for the win.  Jim Taylor scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while Mike Moore, Carl Brown, and Mike Connor added singles.  Jim’s first goal held up as the winner,  Andrew Trecartin scored the only Big D goal to spoil Mark Farrell’s shutout bid.
