Here are the results, standings, and stats through play from Week 12 (Dec 5th). See the “Statisfaction” page for download of stats in much greater detail and scope.
It’s been an exciting and well fought season so far, and we’ve seen things tightening up as teams get their feet underneath them. 2017 competition will only be better!
Kudos this week to the Collective who served notice going 2-0-1 that they’ve got mean things in store for all ye who resist assimilation! And a big welcome back to the Big Goaltender with the even bigger heart, Jeff Smith. Jeff posted a paltry 2.67 GAA while backstopping the skeleton crew Killer Whales to a 2-0-1 week as well in his triumphant return to Freddy League play. And I would be remiss if I neglected to shout out my own crew who posted 2-0-1 against the meanies at the top of the standings. Stay tuned for more great action in 2017!
Goalies in 2016: Ironically this was a season that began with worry about the number of goalies who would even be available. We’ve had a barrage of
top notch backstopping and this is well documented in these minuscule figures in the GAA. DISGUSTING!
Here comes the HEAT
Here’s the top twenty going into the Christmas Break. A familiar face atop the standings (hello Marc Guitard) but it looks like somebody forgot to
tell Tim O’Leary and Jim Taylor that they’re over 50… C’mon guys! You’re embarrassing me! The rest of the top 10, 11 even are in hot pursuit so nobody can take their foot off the gas if they want to remain in The Loft.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
