Freddy Ball Hockey prides itself on being a competitive, but friendly league. It is a delicate balance, but one that we have long maintained, largely through players policing their own conduct.
It has been noted that body contact has started to escalate lately and we have already had a few injuries as a result. Checking is not part of the game as we all have families and/or work the next day that depend on us.
The League reserves the right to suspend players. The League also seeks that this is not necessary.
Please look out for your brothers on the floor, teammates and opponents alike. Keep your game clean and respectful.
And a reminder that standing on the ball is not allowed for the very reason that it invites bodychecking and its twin, active aggression.
