Lots of News to report.
Location: AG Center still not ready, City/Schoolboard unable to give us a date. FBHL Exec & Working Committee met and agreed to abandon that site.
After much effort, a new location was found! The upstairs gym in the Old YMCA (now called the FIC – Fredericton Intercultural Centre). This gym is a little larger than the AG Center and it has a much better wooden floor (no Tape on sticks).
We have just now worked out the contract details, so due to;
1. late nature of the deal
2. lack of parking this weekend – Winterfest at FREX
3. Superbowl, missing guys
We are POSTPONING league games this weekend. All games missed will be made up later on. We intend to play out the full schedule (if for some reason we do not, we will do partial refunds).
HOWEVER, we have gotten the gym for pickup this weekend. 11:45 – 2:45 this Sunday Feb 2nd. Bring a black/white jersey, helmet and $3-5 to cover costs. If you just want to come and look (not play), that’s fine too.
No tape or any equipment that marks floor!!!!
If you wish to play this weekend, please post on the FBHL Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/FreddyBallHockey) your intention to play (or have someone do it for you). IF everyone shows, we’ll have to stagger play times and ask that Captains not play. Also goalies be sure to sign up and/or contact Vince so all can play.
The league schedule and some timing changes will need to occur at the new location, these will be posted on the official site soon.
