Flying Elbows Go 3-0 Extending Unbeaten Streak To 15

Sasquatches Earn Back To Back 3-0 Weeks

Ray Chase And Brent McKenna Lead Week Six With 12 Points
Baton Rouge 8  Barrage 4  –  Baton Rouge built a 3-0 lead in the first half of the game and hung on for an 8-4 win.  Ray Chase led the way for Baton Rouge with four goals, including the winner, while Brent McKenna scored a hat-trick, and Matt Vautour added a single.  Wayne Helpard, Craig Maranda, Wyatt Ashworth, and Jamie Carson scored the Barrage goals.

Sasquatches 8  Baton Rouge 2  –  The game remained close for awhile but the Sasquatches scored the last five goals and took over.  Scott Praught and Sean Keenan each scored a pair of goals for the Sasquatches, while Bryan Letcher, Marc Guitard, and Greg Demetre added singles.  Scott’s first goal held as the winner.  Ray Chase scored both Baton Rouge goals.

Big D 4  Barrage 2  –  Big D went ahead 3-1 with five minutes left and despite the Barrage getting one back, Big D held on for the 4-2 win.  Jeremy Snow scored a pair of goals for Big D, while Bruno Dugas and a spare player added singles.  The spare scored the game winner.  Wyatt Ashworth and Craig Maranda scored the Barrage goals.

Baton Rouge 6  Big D 5  –  Big D got off to a good start going up 2-0 but Baton Rouge scored three quick goals to take the lead.  The game ended up tied 5-5 until Ray Chase scored the winning goal for Baton Rouge with 20 seconds left.  It was Ray’s 3rd goal of the game, while Brent McKenna scored a pair of goals and Stephen Atherton added a single.  Andrew Trecartin scored a hat-trick for Big D, while Bruno Dugas added a pair of goals.

Sasquatches 6  Barrage 1  –  The Sasquatches built a 3-0 lead midway through the game and cruised to a 6-1 win.  Sean Keenan led the way for the Sasquatches with four goals, while Bobby Woods added a pair that included the winning goal.  Collin Sleep scored the only Barrage goal to spoil Rick Kent’s shutout bid.

Sasquatches 6  Big D 3  –  The Sasquatches got out to a 4-0 lead and hung on for the 6-3 win.  Marc Guitard led the way for the Sasquatches with a hat-trick, while Bobby Woods scored a pair of goals and Sean Keenan added a single.  Marc’s first goal proved to be the winner.  Tyson Taylor, spare Ian Stevens, and spare Justin McKillop scored for Big D.

Collective 4  Warriors 1  –  The Collective ended their 11 game winless streak with a solid win against the Warriors.  Rick Bartlett, Evan Bartlett, Mike Connor, and Carl Brown scored the Collective goals.  Evan’s goal proved to be the winner, while Carl added the empty netter.  Denis Loubert scored the only Warriors goal to spoil Mark Farrell’s shutout bid.

Warriors 7  Shooters 4  –  The Shooters got off to a great start, building a 3-0 lead midway through the game, until Mike Clarke scored four straight goals in a minute and 20 seconds to put the Warriors ahead, leading to the 7-4 win.  Jon Loubert, James Campbell, and Denis Loubert scored the other Warriors goals.  Spare Tyson Taylor scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Yvon Mayer and Harold Plant added singles.

Flying Elbows 5  Collective 1  –  The Flying Elbows played a tight game and came away with a convincing 5-1 win.  Tim O’Leary and Jamie Williams each scored a pair of goals for the Flying Elbows, while Vince MacDonald added a single.  Mike Moore scored the only Collective goal to spoil Brandon Leet-MacFarlane’s shutout bid.

Flying Elbows 5  Warriors 0  –  After four consecutive spoiled shutouts, including one with less than a second left in the game, Brandon Leet-MacFarlane would not be denied during this game, as he earned his 2nd shutout of the season for the Flying Elbows in the 5-0 win.  Jamie Williams scored the game winner, then Justin McKillop scored four straight goals cruising to the win.

Collective 5  Shooters 3  –  The Shooters went ahead 3-2 in the second half of the game but the Collective came back with the final three goals for the win.  Carl Brown and Rick Bartlett each scored a pair of goals for the Collective, while Mike Moore added a single.  Carl’s 2nd goal proved to be the winner.  Spare Tyson Taylor scored a pair of goals for the Shooters, while Scott McLean added a single.

Flying Elbows 3  Shooters 2  –  The Flying Elbows got off the a quick 3-0 lead in the first few minutes and held on to the 3-2 win.  Jamie Williams, Justin McKillop, and Vince MacDonald scored the Flying Elbows goals.  Vince’s goal held up as the winner.  Yvon Mayer and spare Tyson Taylor scored the Shooters goals.  It was the Shooters’ best game this week but unfortunately it was against the Flying Elbows who have a current 15 game undefeated streak.
